Liverpool manager Arne Slot has dismissed talk of a rift with Mohamed Salah after the Reds’ 2-0 win over Brighton at Anfield on Saturday, insisting there was “no issue to resolve.”
Liverpool took an early lead through Hugo Ekitike, with Salah, coming off the bench, providing the assist for Ekitike’s second goal in the 60th minute.
Slot said Salah’s return and performance prove “actions speak louder than what has been said.”
The assist brought Salah’s Premier League tally for Liverpool to 277 goal involvements, 188 goals and 89 assists, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s single-club record at Manchester United.
The victory, Liverpool’s first home win since November 4, lifts the team to sixth in the table ahead of Salah’s Africa Cup of Nations trip.
