Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Osun to unite in reclaiming the state from the Ademola Adeleke-led government in 2026.

Speaking Friday in Osogbo as chairman of the APC Osun 2026 Governorship Primary Election Committee, Okpebholo told leaders, aspirants, and delegates that the party has reached a decisive moment.

“It is time to take back what belongs to us. By the grace of God, we shall have it,” he said, adding that unity is crucial to strengthening internal democracy and restoring purposeful leadership to the people of Osun.

He stressed that the primary election would be conducted with transparency and fairness, following an affirmation and consensus model. All 166 accredited delegates would be thoroughly screened to ensure accountability.

“No delegate will be allowed in without proper accreditation. Every stakeholder must understand the process fully,” he said.

Okpebholo emphasized that reclaiming Osun requires commitment and loyalty to the party, insisting that internal cohesion would determine APC’s success in 2026.

Earlier, Ondo State Governor and Deputy Chairman of the Election Committee, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, urged that party supremacy guide all actions. Stakeholders at the meeting echoed Okpebholo’s call for unity to restore progressive governance in Osun.
