The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has acknowledged the network challenges affecting subscribers in Abuja.
The Commission said the disruptions are largely due to diesel supply issues affecting IHS Nigeria Limited, which powers Airtel and MTN base stations in the city.
NCC explained that the diesel supply was disrupted by activities of the National Oil and Gas Suppliers Association (NOGASA), leading to service outages.
The Commission assured that it is working with stakeholders to resolve the issue and explore sustainable solutions.
“We are taking proactive steps to facilitate dialogue between service providers and other stakeholders to promptly resolve the diesel supply concerns,” NCC said.
It reaffirmed its commitment to reliable telecommunications and thanked subscribers for their patience while services are being restored.
