Former Anambra State governor and ex-Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, was reportedly arrested in Abuja on Wednesday.

Initial reports suggested he had been kidnapped, but his former media aide dismissed the claim, confirming that Ngige is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), not abducted.

Details surrounding his detention remain unclear, as security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the reasons for his arrest or any possible charges.
