State chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory have unanimously endorsed the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC), signalling renewed stability in the party after weeks of uncertainty.
The endorsement was announced on Wednesday at an interactive meeting held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, where the chairmen pledged full loyalty to the national leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Forum of State Chairmen described the move as crucial to repositioning the party, insisting that only a united structure can effectively prepare the PDP for upcoming political challenges.
Responding, Turaki dismissed reports of factional leadership, saying the collective declaration by all state chapters affirms the legitimacy of the current NWC.
He said the priority is rebuilding cohesion and strengthening the party for future contests.
The endorsement is expected to ease internal tensions and set the PDP on a more coordinated path moving forward.
