Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC), has trained students in climate and sustainability practices to foster environmental responsibility and build green skills for the future.

The initiative took place at the 2025 Green Skills Bootcamp at SBC’s Lagos head office, aiming to translate environmental awareness into action while creating opportunities for innovation and green jobs.

SBC’s Head of Sustainability, Lovelyn Okoye, said the bootcamp equips students with practical tools to understand climate issues, embrace recycling, and champion responsible water use.

The company’s management, including MD Sari El-Khalil and Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs Nkemdirim Agboti, highlighted the importance of nurturing young environmental innovators to shape a sustainable future.

The bootcamp featured the Green Skills School Challenge and Exhibition, allowing 36 students from 18 schools to showcase innovative solutions to environmental challenges, particularly plastic waste.

Participants received recycling toolkits to support ongoing learning and environmental projects.

Officials from the Lagos Waste Management Authority and the Society for Corporate Governance praised SBC for empowering students to become environmentally responsible leaders and innovators.
