Senior PDP chieftain Emmanuel Ogidi says the party remains strong despite recent defections and internal disputes.
Speaking Monday on television, the caretaker chairman for the party’s South-South zone acknowledged the turmoil but insisted the party’s grassroots support ensures its continued relevance as a main opposition force.
Ogidi described the crisis as part of a broader effort by political rivals to weaken PDP but urged members to stay committed.
He stressed that with reconciliation and discipline, the party can regroup and remain a formidable force ahead of upcoming elections.
