The Karu Gbagyi Development Association (KAGBADA), will present FCT Minister Nyesom Wike with the “Nigeria Infrastructure Minister of the Year” award for his contributions to infrastructure development in Abuja’s satellite towns and outer districts.

In a statement, KAGBADA Secretary General Peter Samuel Aye said the scale of projects under Wike’s administration, alongside President Bola Tinubu, prompted the award.

The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Jummai Aduda Town Hall, Karu, and will include a public lecture on the 2026 FCT elections, scholarships for indigent residents, and an empowerment scheme for the Karu Chiefdom.

The association also praised Wike for supporting their political leader, former Senate Minority Leader Philip Tanimu Aduda, and for appointing their son-in-law, Architect Richard Dauda, as Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
