The All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on Nigerians to support security agencies as they work to rescue abducted schoolchildren and address rising insecurity.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the safety of the victims is the government’s top priority.

Speaking on Channels Television, Morka stressed that rescue operations involving minors require caution, warning that aggressive tactics could endanger the children.

He urged the public to understand the complexities of such missions and commended security personnel for risking their lives to dismantle criminal networks.

Morka also expressed confidence that the perpetrators of recent kidnappings and violent crimes would be arrested and prosecuted.

The appeal follows the rescue of 100 schoolchildren abducted from St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, Agwara LGA, Niger State. The students were among 315 kidnapped on November 21.

About 50 pupils escaped immediately, while 265 remained in captivity.

President Bola Tinubu welcomed the rescued children and directed intensified efforts to free the remaining 115 pupils and teachers.
