PDP Factional BoT Meets in Abuja, Moves to Rebuild Party, Restore Confidence

The factional Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Sunday held a strategic meeting at the official residence of the FCT Minister in Life Camp, Abuja, as part of efforts to rebuild the party’s structure and restore members’ confidence.

Declaring the meeting open, BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa, stressed the need for unity and urgent organisational reforms.

He said the faction was committed to restoring trust in the PDP and ensuring that all pending state congresses are conducted.

Ohuabunwa added that the national leadership was ready to work with state chapters to stabilise the party nationwide.

He outlined a roadmap focused on completing outstanding congresses, strengthening internal discipline, and improving grassroots engagement ahead of future elections.

The meeting was attended by factional PDP Chairman, Abdul-Rahman Mohammed; National Secretary, Sam Anyanwu; former FCT Senator, Philip Aduda; several state chairmen; ambassadorial nominee, Okezie Ikpeazu; and some members of the National Assembly.
