A fire broke out on Wednesday at the Jabi Timber Shed, prompting rapid response from the Federal Fire Service and the FCT Fire Service after traders and residents raised the alarm.
Eyewitnesses said the fire started in the early hours of the morning, sending thick smoke across the area. Firefighters arrived with multiple trucks to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby shops and residential buildings.
As of press time, the cause of the fire had not yet been determined, though authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway.
No casualties have been reported, but several timber materials were destroyed before the fire was brought under control.
Officials urged traders to maintain safety precautions and ensure proper storage of flammable items to reduce future risks.
