Former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the viral video showing Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia being arrested in London is genuine.
Speaking during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, Igbokwe said the incident involved 2Baba and his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
Igbokwe, who travelled with the couple, said the clash occurred shortly after their arrival in the UK for a concert tour.
According to him, Natasha became upset after feeling abandoned at the airport when fans pulled 2Baba into a nearby shop.
The situation escalated into a heated argument, prompting airport police to intervene and handcuff the singer.
The arrest reportedly happened on October 2, 2025, the same day 2Baba missed a scheduled show, which he had blamed on a medical emergency.
The controversy resurfaced on December 1 after blogger Tosin Silverdam shared clips allegedly showing officers questioning and escorting the musician at London’s Gatwick Airport, along with a video of the couple arguing.
Screenshots from the footage also show police interacting with 2Baba moments before he was led away.
