Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing the unresolved leadership crisis at the national level.

Adeleke confirmed his exit in an Instagram post late Monday, saying he submitted his resignation letter to party leaders in Sagba Abogunde, Ward 2, Ede North LGA, on November 4, 2025.

He thanked the party for the opportunities it gave him “as a Senator and now as Governor of Osun State.”

His departure comes days after Osun PDP leaders hinted that Adeleke might not pursue the party’s 2026 governorship ticket unless the crisis was resolved in line with INEC’s timetable.
