#BringBackOurGirls co-convener Aisha Yesufu has called on the National Assembly to summon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over what she described as his administration’s failure to tackle Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
In a statement on Monday, Yesufu said lawmakers must hold the president accountable, insisting that Nigerians deserve answers as violence and attacks spread across several states.
Her demand comes amid growing public frustration over recurring security lapses.
If acted upon, it could trigger legislative hearings or reviews aimed at addressing the crisis.
It remains unclear whether the National Assembly will respond to her call or how the presidency might react to such a summons.
