Former presidential aide Reno Omokri says his nomination as an ambassador-designate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has deepened his understanding of forgiveness and national unity.

In a statement on Sunday via X, Omokri thanked God, his family, and Tinubu, calling the gesture a reflection of the president’s reconciliatory leadership.

“I thank God for this nomination and look forward to serving my fatherland and humanity. I am particularly grateful to President Tinubu for his visionary leadership,” he said, adding that the president has reshaped his views on patriotism, grace, and humility in public service.

Omokri described Tinubu as “the right man, at the right time, for the right job” and praised National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for his integrity.

He also acknowledged his wife, Hana, for her steadfast support during politically challenging times.

In a related message, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode expressed gratitude to Tinubu for including him among the ambassadorial nominees.
