Arsenal opened a six-point gap at the top of the Premier League with a commanding 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
Leandro Trossard put the hosts ahead with a calm first-half finish before summer signing Eberechi Eze doubled the lead with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.
Just 35 seconds into the second half, Eze added his second with a low effort into the bottom corner. Tottenham responded through Richarlison, who capitalised on David Raya’s poor positioning to score from long range, Spurs’ first attempt of the match.
Eze later completed his hat-trick with another composed finish, becoming the first player in nearly 50 years to score a treble in the North London Derby.
Arsenal now have 29 points from 12 games, with nine wins and 24 goals level with Manchester City on goals scored. Spurs sit ninth with 18 points after their fourth defeat of the season.
The Gunners face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday before visiting Chelsea in the league.
