The Abuja City Journal (ACJ), yesterday received the 26 finalists of the National Essay Competition as they arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
In a strong show of commitment, ACJ CEO and Publisher, Mr. Foluso Sylvanus Ojo, popularly known as Fosh, led the organising team to personally welcome the young writers.
His presence underscored ACJ’s dedication to identifying and celebrating exceptional talent across Nigeria.
Fosh described the competition as “a platform designed to groom the next generation of thinkers and solution-driven leaders,” noting that the initiative continues to grow with strong support from partners.
This year’s edition is sponsored by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Kapek International, whose backing has boosted the reach and impact of the programme.
The finalists, drawn from various states, were warmly received by the organisers, who coordinated their arrival and logistics.
The grand finale will hold on the 26th, with cash prizes of ₦5 million, ₦3 million, and ₦2 million for the top three winners.
The National Essay Competition remains one of Nigeria’s leading platforms for discovering and nurturing future intellectual leaders.
