The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed reports claiming an assassination attempt on Justice James Omotosho, who recently sentenced Nnamdi Kanu for terrorism offences.

In a statement by the Chief Registrar, Suleiman Hassan, the court described the viral blog report as “false, unfounded, and deliberately crafted to mislead the public.” He urged Nigerians to ignore the story and refrain from spreading misinformation aimed at undermining confidence in the judiciary.

Justice Omotosho had on Thursday, November 20, convicted Kanu on terrorism charges and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
