Engr. Mlumun Ikpaahindi, Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Infrastructure, has commended Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for extending developmental projects to the Mbayegh/Mbaikyer Council Ward in Konshisha LGA.

Speaking to journalists, Ikpaahindi expressed gratitude to the Governor for approving the construction of the Ujima Bridge in the community.

She explained that she facilitated the project through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), adding that the contractor had already resumed work and was introduced to community members before construction began.

“On behalf of the entire community, I want to thank our Governor for this wonderful dividend of democracy. We also appreciate the State Project Coordinator of RAAMP, Hon. Stephen Numbeve,” she said.

She praised the Governor for opening up rural areas to boost economic activities, noting that the Alia administration is committed to transforming Benue State.

The Adviser urged the community to support and protect the workers and logistics, stressing that the bridge would benefit future generations.

Ikpaahindi added that the bridge is expected to enhance socio-economic activities in the agriculturally rich area.

RAAMP is a national initiative aimed at improving agricultural marketing by constructing rural roads that ease farmers’ access to strategic markets, supporting the commercialisation of produce from hinterland communities.
