Global on-demand platform Glovo has launched its Abuja LiveOps Hub, a major investment aimed at strengthening customer support, operational efficiency and talent development across Nigeria.

The new centre, staffed by over 100 trained professionals, provides real-time support for customers, riders and vendors nationwide.

It also tackles key challenges in Nigeria’s growing Q-commerce sector, including low digital trust and infrastructure instability.

Speaking at the launch, Glovo Nigeria’s General Manager, Lamide Akinola, said the hub demonstrates the company’s commitment to reliability and innovation.

She noted that the facility integrates advanced AI tools with human expertise and is supported by redundant satellite internet, generators and solar systems to ensure 24/7 operation.

The hub uses a tiered support model built around specialised pods such as Refunds, Rider Support and Vendor Relations.

Since opening in early 2025, the team has achieved a 90% success rate in responding to inquiries within 30 seconds.

Glovo said the hub also leverages staff familiar with local routes to resolve navigation challenges in cities with unmapped or complex streets.

The facility doubles as a LiveOps Academy, providing training in customer service, business analysis, fraud detection and project management to strengthen Nigeria’s digital service ecosystem.
