Lowe, a resident of Omolende Village in Yewa South LGA, was intercepted on Wednesday after the Divisional Police Officer of Ilaro received intelligence about his suspicious movement.
Police spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola said officers stopped the suspect and discovered an adult female’s body, later confirmed to be his wife inside the sack.
The corpse reportedly had marks of violence and bleeding around the neck. A blood-stained cutlass was also recovered.
Lowe was immediately taken into custody, while the woman’s body was deposited at the State Morgue in Ilaro for autopsy.
