Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has claimed the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third straight year, reinforcing her dominance in African football.

Nnadozie, who plays for Brentford FC in England, beat South Africa’s Andile Dlamini and Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi at the CAF Awards in Morocco.

However, her compatriot Rasheedat Ajibade missed out on the Women’s Footballer of the Year award, which went to Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak of Al Hilal.

In the men’s category, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain won African Player of the Year, ending Nigeria’s two-year hold on the award previously won by Victor Osimhen (2023) and Ademola Lookman (2024).

Hakimi enjoyed a historic season, helping PSG secure Ligue 1, Champions League, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions, and placing sixth in the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Other notable awards included Morocco’s Doha El Madani as Women’s Young Player of the Year, Senegal’s Lamine Camara as Men’s Young Player of the Year, and Cape Verde as Men’s National Team of the Year.

Morocco’s Yassine Bounou won Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year, while Cape Verde’s coach Bubista was named Men’s Coach of the Year.
