Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia on Thursday received the leadership of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), led by Mr. Tsenyil Cyril, at the Government House in Makurdi for a courtesy visit.
The meeting, described as a “shared moment of purpose,” focused on progress, opportunities, and the future development of the North Central region.
Governor Alia highlighted ongoing transformations in Benue, including road construction linking communities, agricultural programmes boosting rural economies, enhanced security, and initiatives restoring public confidence in government.
Mr. Cyril shared the Commission’s vision for a North Central region with modern infrastructure, thriving industries, and greater opportunities for citizens. Both leaders reflected on regional collaboration, support for farmers, empowerment programmes, and investments in security as practical steps toward fulfilling government promises.
The visit underscored a joint commitment to leveraging collective efforts for the sustainable development of the North Central zone.
