Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has urged the Federal Government and security agencies to urgently locate Brigadier General Musa Uba, Commander of the 25 Brigade, who was reportedly abducted during a clash with Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters in Borno State.

He also called for intensified efforts to rescue the 25 schoolgirls kidnapped in Kebbi State.

Ndume said General Uba was allegedly captured during an operation around Wajiroko in Azir Multe, Damboa LGA, though the military maintains the officer returned safely to base. Unverified videos circulating online, however, suggest otherwise.

He appealed for swift action to free the schoolgirls abducted last Sunday from Government Girls Comprehensive School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu LGA of Kebbi State.

The former Senate Committee on Army Chairman warned that worsening insecurity, marked by terrorism, banditry and kidnappings across the North, requires urgent, coordinated government response.

Rescuing the Brigade Commander “dead or alive,” he said, would ease the trauma faced by affected families and reassure the public.

Ndume commended security forces for their sacrifices and prayed for divine guidance for authorities working to restore peace nationwide.
