Team Nigeria is set to increase its medal haul today at the Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with athletes competing in three finals.
Yesterday, Pamela Amaechi won silver in the women’s discus with a throw of 56.99m, narrowly missing gold.
Patience Okon-George qualified for the women’s 400m final with a time of 52.92s, while Kure Samuel Adams prepares for the men’s javelin final.
Nigeria also hopes for strong finishes in the 4x100m relays.
So far, the country has claimed 17 medals, six gold, seven silver, and four bronze.
