The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has said social media influencer Martins Otse (Verydarkman), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof) will face sanctions after a physical altercation on an Asaba-Lagos flight on Monday.
In a statement on X, the NCAA condemned the incident as “unacceptable behaviour,” stressing that unruly conduct threatens passenger and crew safety.
The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection said both men would “face the full strength of the law,” adding that their public influence makes the incident even more irresponsible.
The airline is expected to submit an official report, after which legal action will begin.
The clash reportedly stemmed from an online feud that escalated into a fight inside the aircraft, prompting passengers and crew to intervene.
Verydarkman later posted a video on Facebook making light of the incident.
The NCAA said it is awaiting a full briefing from the airline and will issue a detailed update once all facts are confirmed.
