The Federal High Court will begin its 2025 Christmas vacation on December 19, with sittings set to resume on January 7, 2026.

In a statement on Monday, the court’s Director of Information, Dr Catherine Christopher, said the schedule followed a circular signed by the Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho.

The notice stated that, in line with the court’s rules, only the Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt divisions will remain open during the vacation, handling urgent matters such as fundamental rights applications, vessel arrests, and issues of national importance.

According to the roster, Justices Emeka Nwite and Musa Liman will sit in Abuja; Justices Akintayo Aluko and Isaac Dipeolu in Lagos; and Justices P. M. Ayua and A. T. Mohammed in Port Harcourt. Justice Folashade Giwa-Ogunbanjo will serve as the vacation judge in Enugu.

Christopher added that the Chief Judge extended Christmas and New Year greetings to all judges.
