NDLEA Arrests Suspected Drug Baron ‘Chisco Bee’ in Lagos

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has arrested a suspected drug baron, Frank Chijioke Ibemesi, popularly known as Chisco Bee, after weeks of surveillance.

Ibemesi, 42, the MD/CEO of Franc CJ Ibemesi Nig. Ltd, was picked up in the early hours of Saturday, November 15, at his Daisy Garden Hotel on Agbeke Street, Ago Palace Way, Isolo, Lagos.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday that the suspect later led operatives to a warehouse on Pius Ezeobi Street, also in Ago Palace, where 42 jumbo bags and four cartons of “loud,” a potent strain of cannabis, were recovered. The drugs weighed a total of 1,762.8kg.

Cash recovered from him included $11,600; £2,000; €2,200; and 50 Canadian dollars.

Babafemi described Ibemesi as a wanted drug kingpin who disguised as a businessman and hotelier.
