The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), has assured Nigerians of adequate fuel supply, urging them to avoid panic buying amid peak demand.
In a statement on November 12, the agency said national fuel stocks remain sufficient, supported by both local refineries and imports.
NMDPRA warned marketers against hoarding or arbitrary price hikes and confirmed that the previously proposed 15% import duty on PMS and Diesel will no longer be implemented.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to oversee supply and prevent disruptions, commending stakeholders for their cooperation.
OPEC reported that Nigeria’s crude oil production rose slightly to 1.401 million barrels per day in October 2025, still below its 1.5 million-barrel quota.
