All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has demanded the dismissal of a soldier, Lieutenant Yarima, who clashed with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, during an inspection in Gaduwa, Abuja.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Igbokwe condemned the officer’s conduct, describing it as gross insubordination and an affront to government authority.
The altercation occurred when the soldier reportedly stopped Wike’s team from accessing a disputed land, leading to a heated argument captured in a viral video.
“Who is beating the drum for him? His uniform has to be removed,” Igbokwe wrote, urging military authorities to take swift disciplinary action.
The confrontation has since sparked public debate on the boundaries of military authority in civil administration within the Federal Capital Territory.
