Fear envelopes the Okunland College of Nursing Science, Isanlu, Kogi State, following an ongoing gun battle between the school’s security personnel and suspected kidnappers as of this report.
A student of the institution, who spoke under intense fear, told reporters that heavy gunfire is ongoing around the campus, forcing students and staff to take cover while praying for safety.
As of press time, the number of casualties, if any, has not been ascertained, and no report of security reinforcements deployed to the area.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
