The Ondo State Police Command has rescued 15 young women aged 20–26 from a sex trafficking syndicate operating under the guise of job recruitment and social media content creation.
Police arrested Jayeola Joshua and two others, while efforts are ongoing to track other accomplices.
Investigations revealed the suspects lured victims with fake job offers and coerced them into sending nude images later used for sexual exploitation.
The victims are receiving medical and psychological care at the Police Hospital, Akure.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered the transfer of the case to the Gender Desk for further investigation and rehabilitation of the victims.
The command reaffirmed its zero tolerance for human trafficking and urged parents to verify job offers before allowing their wards to travel.
