Dr. Wole Oluyede has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate for the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
At the primary held in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Oluyede polled 242 votes to defeat Day Opeyemi, who scored 46, and Olusegun Daramola, who got 34.
Other aspirants shared the remaining eight votes.
The exercise, which drew 535 accredited delegates from the state’s 177 wards, was conducted under tight security and described as peaceful.
With his victory, Oluyede will fly the PDP flag in the 2026 governorship race.
