The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammad, has vowed to end impunity and restore internal democracy within the party.

Speaking on Friday during the inauguration of the party’s new Board of Trustees (BoT), at the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s residence, Muhammad described the event as a “symbol of rebirth” and a commitment to transparency and justice.

He blamed the party’s decline on disunity and disregard for its constitution, saying, “We must return to fairness, inclusivity, and the rule of law.”

Muhammad, who assumed office after the suspension of former National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum, urged BoT members to see their appointment as a “sacred trust” rather than a political reward.

He later held a closed-door meeting with party leaders, including former Benue Governor Samuel Ortom and Senator Sam Anyanwu.
