The Nigeria Evangelical Fellowship (NEF), has urged the Federal Government to take decisive action against terrorist groups, bandits, and violent militias threatening peace and unity nationwide.
In a communiqué issued at the end of its 60th Anniversary Summit held in Abuja from November 3 to 6, the Fellowship decried the persistent wave of religious and ethnic-motivated violence and called for urgent steps to strengthen national security.
NEF urged the government to arrest, prosecute, and disarm all violent groups, while ensuring protection for vulnerable communities and the safe return of displaced persons.
It also called for stronger promotion of religious freedom, tolerance, and social justice to address the root causes of insecurity.
Affiliated with the Association of Evangelicals in Africa and the World Evangelical Alliance, the Fellowship reaffirmed its commitment to unity, peace, and reconciliation in Nigeria.
