The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has commenced the second phase of its load management exercise across its franchise areas.
In a statement on Thursday, AEDC said the exercise became necessary due to ongoing Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), road construction along the 132kV Gwagwalada-Kukwaba-Apo Line II.
The exercise, which runs from Wednesday to Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., will cause temporary power interruptions in parts of Apo, Lokogoma, Guzape, Asokoro, Wuye, Utako, Jabi, Idu Industrial Area, Karu, Nyanya, Mararaba, Jikwoyi, and Ado.
Customers in Keffi, Nasarawa Toto, Nasarawa Eggon, Akwanga, and nearby areas may also be affected.
AEDC apologized for the inconvenience, noting that the measure supports FCDA’s road expansion and ensures long-term network stability.
The company assured that its technical teams are on standby for quick power restoration each day.
