In a renewed effort to strengthen security and maintain public safety within the Federal Capital Territory, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has directed all tactical, surveillance, and divisional teams to embark on a comprehensive cleanup operation across Abuja.

The exercise, which will run from November 2025 through January 2026, is aimed at identifying, targeting, and flushing out criminal elements from every part of the Territory.

According to a statement issued by the FCT Police Command on Sunday in Abuja, CP Dantawaye emphasized that the operation is part of a sustained strategy to ensure the safety of residents and restore confidence in law enforcement across all communities within the capital.

He noted that the exercise would involve coordinated intelligence gathering, stop-and-search operations, raids on identified criminal hideouts, and increased patrols in both urban and satellite areas.

The Commissioner also assured residents that the operation would be conducted with professionalism and respect for human rights while ensuring the safety of law-abiding citizens.

CP Dantawaye urged members of the public to cooperate with security operatives by providing useful information that could assist in the success of the operation.

He reiterated the Command’s commitment to a crime-free FCT and warned criminal elements to desist from unlawful activities or face the full weight of the law.

The Command further encouraged residents to report suspicious movements or activities through the FCT Police emergency lines, adding that all reports would be treated with utmost confidentiality.

The renewed operation underscores the Police Command’s determination to make Abuja a safer city for residents, visitors, and investors as the year draws to a close and the new year approaches.
