The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has refuted an online report falsely claiming that its General Superintendent, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, accused the United States of attempting to steal Nigeria’s resources and denied Christian persecution in the country.
In a statement on Monday, the church described the publication by a platform called Ibomfocus as “malicious, baseless, and entirely fabricated.”
It clarified that Pastor Kumuyi did not hold any press conference in Lagos as alleged and has been outside Nigeria holding gospel programmes in the Oceania and Far East regions.
The ministry stressed that Pastor Kumuyi remains devoted to preaching the gospel and does not engage in political commentary.
It warned against further attempts to link him to false political statements, urging the public to ignore such misleading reports.
