Programme Director of the Presidential CNG Initiative, Engr. Michael Oluwagbemi, has led a stream of glowing tributes to the outgone Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa (OFR), following his retirement from active service.

Oluwagbemi, in a post on his X handle, wrote: “We served. We saw. We conquered. Pulled out. It was fun.” The post quickly gained traction, attracting praise from Nigerians who lauded Gen. Musa’s leadership, humility, and commitment to restoring security during his tenure.

User @danty_dion described him as “one of the very best Chief of Defence Staff this nation has seen,” while @Adeyanju noted that “even though insecurity remains, Gen. Musa’s impact as CDS is felt significantly, and Nigeria will not forget him in a hurry.”

Others, including @Colak233 and @ADITOP, hailed both Musa and Oluwagbemi for their service, the former for his military leadership and the latter for his role in driving Nigeria’s cleaner energy agenda.

Gen. Musa, who recently bowed out after a distinguished career, is widely celebrated for his professionalism, humility, and efforts to strengthen the country’s defence architecture.
