The Abuja City Journal has announced the commencement of the third edition of its National Essay Competition, scheduled to hold on November 23, 2025, in Abuja.
According to the organisers, 25 participants from different parts of Nigeria have qualified for the grand finale. All finalists will have their transportation expenses fully covered as they converge in the Federal Capital Territory for the event.
The competition will reward the top three winners with cash prizes of ₦5 million, ₦3 million, and ₦2 million respectively.
The organisers stated that the annual essay competition is aimed at promoting creativity, critical thinking, and national unity among young Nigerians through intellectual engagement.
