The Executive Director of CHRICED, Dr. Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, says the newly launched centre will help end the “cycles of exclusion and invisibility” faced by Abuja’s original inhabitants.

Describing it as “a sanctuary of memory and a lighthouse for dignity,” Zikirullahi said the centre will promote research, dialogue, and civic engagement to advance the rights and inclusion of the FCT’s natives.

He commended the MacArthur Foundation, the European Union Delegation to Nigeria, and other partners for their support.

The Africa Director of the MacArthur Foundation, Dr. Kole Ahmed Shettima, said the initiative aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to empowering communities within the Federal Capital Territory.
