The Federal Government has partnered with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), to monitor the allocation and utilisation of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).
The move aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in managing funds for primary healthcare across the country amid concerns over leakages and mismanagement.
A joint task force has been set up to track disbursement and spending at state and community levels, ensuring that funds reach the intended facilities and beneficiaries.
Government officials said the collaboration will enhance public trust and ensure that every naira allocated for basic healthcare improves service delivery, especially in rural and underserved areas.
