Victor Osimhen asserts that Galatasaray will keep improving despite their strong start to the 2025/26 season.
In a Turkish Super Lig match at RAMS Park on Sunday night, the Yellow and Reds came from behind to defeat Göztepe 3-1. This victory solidifies Galatasaray’s position at the top of the Super Lig table with 28 points, five points ahead of second-placed Trabzonspor.
“First, I want to congratulate the team. We were truly incredible mentally. Even when we were down 1-0, every player gave their all to secure the win. I also want to thank our fans. Without their support, it would have been challenging to compete at this level and maintain such motivation,” Osimhen stated on the club’s official website.
“Thanks to them, we can bring smiles to their faces, which means a lot to us. Looking at it this way, we’ve done our job well. The team deserves a huge congratulations, and we want to continue improving in the upcoming matches.”
Sunday marked Galatasaray’s 100th victory under manager Okan Buruk. Osimhen spoke highly of Buruk, calling him a great person.
“He absolutely deserves this recognition. He’s not only an excellent coach but also a wonderful person. He is one of the best individuals I know. From a humanitarian standpoint, I am incredibly proud of all his achievements,” Osimhen commented.
“As a team, we share the same feelings. As players, we are ready to give our all for him. We are very pleased to work with him. I believe he is the best coach in Turkey.”
“He continues to write his own story in Europe and achieve remarkable success. We are confident that we will accomplish great things with him. We are very happy to have him as our coach.”
