The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has celebrated its Director of Operations, Mr. Peter Gbejemede, for emerging as the Best Traffic Officer in Lagos State (Senior Category) during the 2025 Public Service Week.
Gbejemede received the award from the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, at a ceremony held to honour outstanding officers across the state’s civil service.
In a statement released on Monday via its official handle, LASTMA praised Gbejemede for his dedication, professionalism, and exemplary contribution to traffic management and public service in Lagos.
“The Management Team and Staff of the Agency congratulate Mr. Peter Gbejemede, Director of Operations (DOPs), on his outstanding achievement, receiving the ‘Best Traffic Officer of the State’ award (Senior Category) from the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro. Kudos!” the agency stated.
Photographs from the event showed the General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, presenting the certificate and plaque to Gbejemede while commending his efforts in improving traffic flow and operational efficiency across the state.
The award, presented as part of Lagos State’s 2025 Public Service Week, recognises civil servants who have shown exceptional performance, commitment, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
LASTMA described Gbejemede’s recognition as a reflection of the agency’s ongoing commitment to excellence in traffic management and to ensuring a safer, more efficient road network for all Lagos residents.
