The Ibe-Ebidouwei of the Ijaw nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has disowned a trending social media report linking him with the issuance of a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government over the continued detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Media Consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, copies of which were made available to journalists in Warri on Sunday.

According to the statement, “Tompolo did not author the said publication.”

It further stated that High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu, describing the report as the handiwork of his enemies who are bent on discrediting him because of his strong stance against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.

The statement read in part, “We wish to state unequivocally and unambiguously that Tompolo did not author the said publication. High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu. It is clearly the handiwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.”

The statement also reassured the Federal Government of Tompolo’s loyalty and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“We wish to reassure the Federal Government, led by our dynamic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that Tompolo is with him and will continue to support the renewed agenda of his government,” it added.

It further noted that Tompolo remains firm in his commitment to the progress of the nation, reaffirming his endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term and his determination to work for its realisation.

“Once again, the Federal Government and the general public should ignore the said publication,” the statement concluded.
