A Kuje Magistrate Court on Friday granted ₦500,000 bail each to Omoyele Sowore and other protesters arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanu demonstration in Abuja.
Magistrate Abubakar Umar Sai’I’d gave the ruling after the defendants were arraigned on charges of unlawful assembly and disturbance of public peace.
Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother Emmanuel Kanu, and his lawyer Aloy Ekimakor were among those arrested on Thursday.
The court ordered each defendant to submit a valid NIN, three-year tax clearance, and international passport as bail conditions.
Their arrest followed Monday’s protest demanding the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, who remains in detention while facing trial in Abuja.
