Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker has criticised Marcus Rashford for claiming he gave his best during his time at Old Trafford.
Rashford, now on loan at Barcelona, has impressed with five goals and five assists in 12 appearances, including a brace in Tuesday’s 6-1 Champions League win over Olympiakos.
But Parker dismissed Rashford’s claims of commitment, accusing him of being “lazy” and letting his teammates down at Manchester United.
“He didn’t do anything at United. He was lazy and let his team down,” Parker said. “If you can’t give everything for your boyhood club, it says a lot about you.”
Parker added that Rashford’s lack of effort damaged his reputation and questioned whether any Premier League team would trust him again.
