Turkish giants Galatasaray have hailed Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen as “the best striker in the world” after his outstanding performance in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League win over Bodoe Glimt on Wednesday.
Osimhen scored twice in the 3rd and 33rd minutes to lead his team to victory and was named Player of the Match.
Following the game, Galatasaray posted on X: “Best striker in the world.”
The Super Eagles star has now netted three goals in two Champions League appearances this season.
Earlier on Wednesday, the 26-year-old was shortlisted for the 2025 African Player of the Year award, which he won in 2023, becoming the first Nigerian since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999 to claim the honour.
