The Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party (LP), has given Senator Nenadi Usman’s camp 72 hours to retract what it called “blackmail” and attacks on INEC and the judiciary.

In a statement carried by ACJ, the Abure group described the Usman camp’s remarks as derogatory and demanded an immediate public withdrawal and clarification to defend the party’s reputation and democratic institutions.

The ultimatum comes amid an ongoing leadership dispute within LP, with both Abure and Usman factions claiming control of the party.

No response from Usman’s camp was reported at the time of publication, and potential sanctions for non-compliance were not disclosed.
