Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has vowed to unveil his administration’s achievements in the education sector within 20 days, saying the records will “shock Nigerians and social media critics.”
Speaking on Tuesday at the inauguration of engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja, Wike said the exercise will prove that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not only focused on infrastructure but also on improving education.
Reacting to recent remarks by Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, who described FCT schools as “a national disgrace,” Wike fired back, saying Obi should have completed projects in Anambra when he was governor.
The Minister revealed that 73 schools are currently under renovation across the six area councils, with 21 already completed, stressing that his administration’s record in the sector speaks for itself.
